Teacher resources
Welcome to the Water Matters Connection teacher resources section.
Sustainable access to enough, safe water is an issue that affects everyone,
everywhere. The Water Matters Connection assists teachers to explore
this issue locally and/or globally by comparing the settings of Niger, West
Africa – where water is scarce and often unsafe, with your local environment.
Water Matters has been developed for the New Zealand Social Studies
Curriculum, Place and Environment strand, Levels 2 to 5. It also provides
opportunities to combine learning with social action related to water matters.
It is supported by a set of education resources that includes, a FREE poster,
videos/DVDs, teacher resource folders, CDs and a student textbook. For more
