underground supply near by. There are other factors that influence whether
people get enough safe water for their daily needs.

Global water access and wealth
Is there a relationship between people’s access to safe water and how wealthy
their country is?

KEY:
Name of region
% population with reasonable access to safe water
Reasonable access to safe water means a person has at least 20 litres of water
per day, from a safe source within one kilometre of their home.
GNI per capita (US$)
A comparative measure of wealth which takes the gross national income of a
country and divides it by the mid-year population.
